According to the Internet Society of China, 180, 400 blocked addresses by the International Organization Against Junk Mail last November had a Chinese server.

Large majority of the addresses specialized generate ’spam’ servers are based in the provincial offices of major Chinese telecommunication companies such as China Telecom, China Netcom and China Mobile, according to this organization.

Experts point out that these provincial offices earn easy money by hosting specially created email addresses for sending spam messages, many of them from abroad.

The abundance of spam coming from China has led the international blockade of some servers, which in turn brings problems for normal users’ e-mail.

According to the ‘China Daily’, the U.S. remains the main place of origin of spam, with a 42.11% of all detected by the international organization.
